“Doing” History

This semester, students in HIS 3626 at App State will explore what it means to be a history/social studies educator. Through this blogging format, they are going to reflect on ways to help adolescents do history and how to structure a curriculum focused on historical thinking.

Blogging is an ideal platform for writing in order to think. That means students’ ideas on these posts will be immediate, raw, uncertain, open to new ideas, and, above all, a reflection of an evolving philosophy of teaching. If you stumble on this site, enjoy the musings of future history/social studies educators.
