This week in class we learned about exit tickets and how to create a solid lesson, unit, and curriculum maps on our own. Which is very important to know as a teacher, as planning is one of the most important aspects to any good lesson. Without a plan you wont be able to perform at the level you need to and wont have any real idea on how you will be doing the intro. These are very good organizational tools and I look forward to learning more about them and refining the process more and more as the weeks go on. I also find exit tickets to be a very useful tool as I believe they are a great source of information. Logging where students are in your class is very important. So naturally an exit ticket would be great to help gage student understanding.
Having a plan going into a lesson plan is a recipe for disaster. As an educator you need to have a plan for how you will receive and interoperate student feedback. As well as having a plan to gauge where their students are at in their comprehension and retention of the material that you have in play. I think that these need to be sparse out throughout the lesson but it is just a case of where to incorporate them into a lesson plan. Exit tickets as you mention are a reliable source for this as well, as they can either provide feedback that can be used in future lessons, or as a measurement tool that lets you know where students are at in their learning process.
