Hiring New Teachers

This article/reading goes over the hiring process from the principals point of view and how they should prepare for hiring new teachers.

One thing this article talks about is the principal being prepared and ready for the candidate to come into the office. It speaks about not having a messy office and I agree with this part a lot. walking in for a job interview and seeing a messy work area makes a candidate question a lot about the person making the hire. The first things that come to my mind is do they not spread the work load respectfully, do they a lot of problems with the school causing the principal to always have to be dealing with paperwork and a heavy workload, and will they have time aside from this work load to help the teachers when it is needed. this article really made me think about what I should expect when I walk into the office of a employer for a job interview whether it is teaching or another job.
