Hello Classmates!

I’m Drew Westmoreland, a Senior here at Appalachian State University. I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, but I graduated high school in the small town of Waynesville, North Carolina (about 30 mins west of Asheville). I graduated from Haywood Community College with my Associate of Arts degree in May of 2020, and I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in History, Social Studies Education. I am a “third-generation” mountaineer; my Grandparents met and graduated from App in the late 1960s, and my uncle graduated from App in the late 1990s. I currently work as the Director of Modern Worship at Longs Chapel UMC in Waynesville, but I also work at The Holmes Convocation Center here on campus as a part of their student staff. When I’m not working or doing schoolwork, I enjoy watching movies, reading thrilling spy novels, playing/watching sports, and spending time with my friends and family.
